Volunteer Day for Emerging Leaders

Volunteer Day for Emerging Leaders in Food Equity will have its volunteer day on September 9th from 10am to 12pm at the Food Bank Farm – Cultivating for Community regenerative farming and education initiative, located at 32 Shattuck Rd in Hadley (at the intersection between Shattuck Rd and Gooseberry Lane). All are welcome to attend! During your time on the farm, you’ll learn about no-till farming techniques and assist in building farm rows, weeding, planting, harvesting, and other activities that help in the garden. Afterward, we’ll take a trail walk with Kestrel Land Trust, who has partnered with the Food Bank to secure land for the Cultivating for Community initiative. Lunch and drinks will be provided by stop and shop! Remember to wear closed-toed shoes and clothing comfortable for walking and farm work. We look forward to seeing you on the farm!
